Our July meeting included exhibits of a Polish commemorative token, a 1856 Flying eagle cent and a civil war token. Upcoming Coin Shows were discussed and plans to attend the ANA Show in August. Current events included a new portrait is being planned for the $10.00 to enhance the security of this bill.

Our next regular meeting of the Waukesha Coin Club will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, August 5th, at the Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street.  The Salvation Army is located one block west of the corner of Highway 18 and Madison Street.  Enter through the back door and take the elevator to the second floor.

Announcements:

• Bring School Supplies to August meeting as a donation. Students need: crayons, washable markers, Pink pearl erasers, glue sticks, Elmer’s glue, pencil top erasers, Safety scissors, #2 yellow pencils, Pocket folders, 3 ring binders, 3×3 post-it-notes, highlighters, Dry erase markers, zipper pouch, dividers (8tab-3hole), spiral notebooks.
• Save those Coin Magazines! Bring them in to the next meeting for collection. We are planning to host a Boy Scout Merit Badge Seminar in the future and they will need coin magazines as reference material.
• Guests Welcome: If anyone wants to bring new collectors young or old to the meetings, remember that guests are always welcome!
