Our May meeting included a presentation by Randy Raikes on “Attributing Roman Imperial Coins”. Mark updated the club on past treasurer’s reports and plans to have a Coin Show report next meeting.
Announcements:
- Our next regular meeting of the Waukesha Coin Club will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, June 7th, at the Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street. The Salvation Army is located one block west of the corner of Highway 18 and Madison Street. Enter through the back door and take the elevator to the second floor.
- Guests Welcome: If anyone wants to bring new collectors young or old to the meetings, remember that guests are always welcome.
Trivia: These sets were struck on unpolished planchets, unlike proof sets, and allowed to come into contact with each other. They have a brilliant finish achieved by Mint technicians over polishing the dies but missing polished-off design details, such as Frank Gasparro’s initials on the Half Dollar. What are these sets called and what years were they produced?
Pot Coin: IndianHead Cent, VG or better
