Our April meeting included Exhibits and a presentation entitled “Mint Error”.
Exhibits included: Christa McAuliffe commemorative dollar, American Silver Eagle, a 2017 Cooke’s Island silver $2 coin featuring a quilled bird, a 2019-W Lincoln cent, a 1931-D fake Mercury dime, Wisconsin commemorative half dollars, one real and one fake, to see if members could tell which was which. Trivia was won by Glenn. Trivia answer: Saudi Arabia and Ecuador.

Trivia: The very first Indian Head Penny featured a laurel wreath on the opposite side. This edition of the penny was made of a copper-nickel composition. However, within a year, the laurel wreath was exchanged out for an oak wreath. When they made this change, what was added to the top of the coin?
