Our August meeting included discussions about the upcoming ANA show, Chinese Counterfeiting and current events. Tom provided flyers for the 2022 Waukesha Coin Show (3/13/22) and reported he had sent out inquiries to past dealers about attendance. Don and Randy rescheduled the WCC Auction from October to November.
Exhibits for the night included Cuban paper money, Two 2021-W “first-strike” U.S. Silver eagles – a Type I and a Type II, A set of U.S. Commemorative Silver dollars from the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, A challenge coin from the Milwaukee P.D. featuring a motorcycle cop, Two Mexican 500 Peso notes with an anti-counterfeiting hologram, A buffalo nickel with doubling on the feathers, A love token made from an 1841 silver dime, pictures of “Greenways Immense Concert Hall” related to the Civil War Token of Ripon WI.
A presentation followed club business on German Notgeld, given by Tina.
