June Mint News
In my research for an article on the US Mint news, I was going to talk about the newly
released One Ounce American Buffalo Proof coin. Such an expensive coin seems out
of reach. I followed a link to the West Point Facility. Although known for housing the
largest Silver Bullion collection, it has since accumulated a large Gold Bullion
repository as well. With all the no mint mark and W wint mark news of the last 40
years, I would encourage you to learn more about it. There are no tours of the West
Point mint. The address of the mint is kept a secret as well. I wonder if you could go
on Google Earth and find it. Peekskill, NY is 3565 acres in the town and the Mint takes
up 4 acres of that space. https://earth.google.com/
May Trivia Question Answer: The mint did not make 1922,1932 & 1933 Mercury
Dimes.
