Our February meeting centered around our upcoming Coin Show (March 13th). We reviewed roles and responsibilities for the show. We discussed the need for a projector and screen for our future presentations. Remembered our friend Ray Meidenbauer, departed Jan 24,2016.
For the night’s topic, Dave Hunsinger presented his Collectable Banks. He had many from different times: 1920-30’s 40’s 70-80’s. He explained how the Banks would keep the keys to the older banks and as you saved your money, then brought it to the bank to be opened and deposited. He even had one that had a coin in it and no key. Look for these Banks in antique shops. Especially one with a $5 Gold coin slot.

Our next regular meeting of the Waukesha Coin Club will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 2nd, at the Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street. The Salvation Army is located one block west of the corner of Highway 18 and Madison Street. Enter through the back door and take the elevator to the second floor.

- 2016 raffle tickets are available for pickup & sale. See Mark Melby at our monthly meetings.
