Our March meeting centered around our upcoming Coin Show. For the night’s topic, Pam presented her WWII collection and other interesting items. It was a very interesting and informative presentation.
Coin Show report: Our coin show was a success! We had attendance of 410 people which was greater than last year. Exhibits at the show provided by Randy R., Bob B., Tom S., Lyal L., Dale L., Jack D., Garrett S., John W.. The 2016 winner “Best in Show” went to Tom S. for his “Notes of Waukesha” . Thanks to all the volunteers that helped setup and work the show, especially Pam for opening the doors at 5:45am and closing them after 4pm. We put on a great coin show and definitely showed what a fine club we have.
Next Meeting Agenda Items;
- April’s Presentation by Bob B – “Diving for Coins” will be re-scheduled due to Raffle drawing and equipment needs.
- Raffle drawing April 6th – Final ticket sales must be prior to drawing.
Our next regular meeting of the Waukesha Coin Club will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 6th, at the Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street. The Salvation Army is located one block west of the corner of Highway 18 and Madison Street. Enter through the back door and take the elevator to the second floor.
Announcements:
- 2016 raffle tickets are available for pickup & sale. See Mark Melby at our meeting prior to raffle. No more sales after drawing begins.
- Guests Welcome: If anyone wants to bring new collectors young or old to the meetings, remember that guests are always welcome!
Trivia: No trivia for April – resumes in May
Pot Coin: (1) Kennedy Half Dollar >= 1971, VF or better – bring extras to sell!
