Presentation: Thank you Dave for the presentation on Coins and Postage Stamps. It
was interesting to learn about how coinage intertwined with postage to make
commerce possible.
President’s Message: I hope you all have had a great Summer! Our next event will be
our Auction which will happen in November. Put together some items you’d like to
auction off and look for details on submittals next month. We plan to play “Coin Bingo”
at our September meeting. It’s a game I’ve created to have fun learning about coins.
It’s a trial run so…we’ll see how it goes. I encourage all of you to attend our meetings
and bring something of interest from your collection to share. Looking forward to
seeing all of you at the meeting! Happy Collecting
Announcements: We will be looking for New Candidates for the Officers of the Club. If you are interested in taking on some additional participation opportunities with the Club, please
let us know. Thank You

Mint News: The exciting news of the additional 6 DC Hero Comic art coins was
announced at the World’s Fair of Money. We will see Green Lantern, Robin and
Supergirl in 2026. The Flash, Batgirl and Aquaman in 2027. Following the mint
provided me with notifications about the Oklahoma City Show and the programs that
were highlighted. The mint did come out with a new feature on a coin. The One
Ounce Silver Eagle is the first coin to be a laser engraved die with a privy mark
representing a sunburst with radiating lines to represent the Laser.
