Our October meeting included discussions about our club auction in November, ringing Salvation Army Bell, and our Christmas Dinner in December (see below).
John brought in the WCC book library and members were able to select books to take home for free!!! Leftovers will be taken to Half Priced Books.
Exhibits included: a colorized “1776” $2 bill and three private-issue Tortuga “escalin” notes, humorous political tokens, Morgan Dollar coin bank, tiny political spoof penny, Virginia Treasury note from 1869, bag of replica colonial coins, 1886 $5 gold piece, A framed British document of indenture.
Chuck said we will need nominations for a new slate of officers for the next two years. Anyone interested, please see Chuck. New officers will be announced at our Christmas party.
Salvation Army Bell Ringers Needed!
When: Tuesday, Nov 26th, from 10am to 4pm
Location: Hobby Lobby – W. Sunset – Fox Shoppes
December Christmas Dinner:
- Current location will be Tuscan Hall, Dec 1st, doors open at 5:30, Dinner @ 6pm.
- Cost per person $22
- RSVP Required – at Oct/Nov meeting or contact Randy. Sign-up Sheet at meeting (35 minimum, 25 so far)
- Pay Randy no later than November Meeting, Checks to WCC or Cash.
Next Meeting: Wednesday, Nov 3rd, 7:00 PM, Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street, 2nd Floor.
