Our May meeting included Tom’s presentation on the Mississippi River Notes Part 1. Next meeting will include Part 2.  The July meeting will be held on the 11th since the first Wednesday in July falls on the 4th.  Discussion for the evening included, newly discovered 1854 San Francisco $5 gold piece, Cryptocurrency, The Greatest Showman and the Connecticut Commemorative Half Dollar,  St. Augustine cathedral, wooden nickel from defunct Sambo’s Restaurant. Dave H. won second place for his Bank Collection exhibit at the CSNS show in April. Mark Melby taking orders for new Red Books at  June meeting.


  • Mark Melby taking orders for new Red Books, $11/12 small spiral/hard book, $25 large spiral.  Call him or tell him at June meeting. He will pick them up in June and deliver in July.
  • Our next regular meeting of the Waukesha Coin Club will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, July 11th , at the Waukesha Salvation Army meeting room located at 445 Madison Street.  The Salvation Army is located one block west of the corner of Highway 18 and Madison Street. Enter through the back door and take the elevator to the second floor.
  • Guests Welcome: If anyone wants to bring new collectors young or old to the meetings, remember that guests are always welcome!

Trivia:    Which African-American was the first to be depicted on an American coin and on a U.S. postage stamp?
Pot Coin:   Any 90% silver 1 dollar denomination coin (incl. Commemorative)  G or better.
